Communikie00 Pace named :director of iadmissions at MSU An MSU graduate, Pace has served as the university's associate :director of admissions since 2000. .He joined the staff in the Division of Student Life in 1997 as a finan- cial aid counselor, while working .'on his graduate degree. He has been employed by MSU since 1996. ..... As director of admissions, Pace will oversee all student recruitment activities both on and off campus. He also will supervise the creation and distribution of all admissions and recruitment material; direct a staff of more than a dozen profes- sional, clerical and student mem- bers; and plan all major recruitment trips, especially throughout MSU's 22-county service region. He is responsible for implement- ing and maintaining several spe- cialized recruitment programs, including those for transfer stu- dents, international students and the SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising and Registration) pro- gram for incoming freshmen. Active on campus, Pace is cur- rently a member of the University's Planning Committee; University Wide Retention Committee; Transfer Student Recruitment Task Force; and GED Recruitment Task Force. He also is a member of the Kentucky Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers and the Kentucky Association of Secondary and College Admissions Counselors. A Shepherdsville native, Pace earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Speech in 1992 and a second Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies Education in 1995. In 1998, he received a Master of Arts Degree in Adult and Higher Education, with an empha- sis in counseling.
