"The best patient protection is access to affordable health benefit options, Yet nearly 40 million Americans currently have no cover- age at all. The SBHFA that I intro- duced can reduce the high cost of health insurance for small ,btLsinesses and the self-employed. Small firms deserve the opportunity to obtain high quality health insurance that is com- petitively priced. Congress should pass AHP plan legislation this year and bring Fortune 500 health benefits to the nation's Main Street small busi- nesses and their employees," empha- sized Fletcher. Chao once again renewed the Bush administration's commitment toAHP and urged swift Congressional action and passage. Chao stated that afford- able, accessible, and quality health care is a critically important compo- nent, to guaranteeing retirement and health security for all Americans. In September 2002, Chao and the Department of Labor used a report that discussed the national importance of enacting meaningful small business healthcare legislation. In addition, the report stated that Fletcher's AI-IP bill would improve access to our cmTcnt health care system. WE KNOW YOU WANT REAL SERVICE FROM REAL PEOPLE. '.x} I I\\;i ';','[!tRi! IT\\;:.
