Preceding him in death SUTTLES Continued from Page I Once Suttles drove through Salt Lick she turned onto Helton Road and drove through residential yard at the end of the dead end road. "On the backside of the residence is a hill- side and her vehicle was unable to continue," Trooper Zimmerman wrote on the arrest cita- tion. Unable to open the driver's door, Suttles crawled out the pas- senger door and fled on foot, according to the ci- tation. She was taken into custody after a brief chase through the woods. Suttles was indicted on the charges in Nov. 2009 and is scheduled to be sentenced by Bath Circuit Judge, Honor- able William Lane on 'March 18. As part of a plea agree- ment Suttles signed, the Commonwealth's Attor- ney's Office has recom- mended that Suttles be sentenced to a total of three years with her charges running concurrent (at the same time) as each other. Attorney Jay Barrett is representing Suttles. Court documents in- dicate there has been no recommendation thus far as for the possibility of probatioN, although one document stipulated that the plea was made possible because there was 'no risk of serious physical injury to the occupants of the mo- tor vehicles", which Suttles allegedly struck during the incident. Judge Lane ordered a" pre-sentence investiga- tion report to be made prior to sentencing Sut- tles this week.
