In the five-county Gateway Health District, the total of number of new cases has continued to show declining numbers following the state- wide trend. There were 61 new cases in the district during the 7-day period from March 10 — 16, doWn from 83 during the previous 7-day period, March 39. The county-by-county breakdown of new cases for March 1016 is: Weekly Gateway Coronavirus Update * Bath County, 11 (same as the previous period) * Elliott County, 4 (+2) * Menifee County, 0 (4) * Morgan County, 23 (+10) * Rowan County, 23 (-19) Most school districts in the region have been or are returning week schedule, and the K—12 School COVlD-19 self-re- ‘ ported data for each county shows local numbers, as of March15, 2021: * Bath, 1 new student case, 10 quarantined student cases * Elliott, district did not report * Menifee, 0 new cases * Morgan, 0 new cases * Rowan, district did not report The statewide positiv- ity rate from March 10 16 remained just below 4 per- cent, for the first time since mid-September 2020. The total number of new cases re toa4or5-daya. ported statewide during the same period was 5473, down from 5740 from March 3—9. Vaccinations: The Gateway District Health Department reperted on Tuesday the following numbers of individuals who have been vaccinated by county, as given to them by the state: * Bath, 1309 vaccinated * Elliott, 729 vaccinated * Menifee, 895 vaccinated . * Morgan, 3695 vaccinated ed" Rowan, 14,099 vaccinat- St Claire Health an- nounced this week they have eliminated their online wait- list and eligible patients can now schedule their appoint— ments by phone. SCH’s vaccine schedul- ing team will be available from 8AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday by calling 606.783.7539.
