She is the granddaughter
of Linda Barber and the

B.A. degree fiom Centre
College and M.A. degree
from the University of
the Cumberlands. Site is
currently ernployed as a
tirst grade teacher with
the Bath County Schools.
Heath is the son of David

ing. He attended St. Cath-
erine's College and is em-
ployed by Rent-A-Centen

their vows on the 24th of
May at the Owingsville
First Church of God with

ing.

passed away Sunday, April
27, 2014, at St. Claire Re-
gional Medical Center in
Morehead.
Born March 17, 1934, in
Frenchburg, she was the
daughter of the hie Alvie
and l nora Johnson Sor-
rell. Besides her parents,
she was preceded in death
by a sister, Helen Rodefer;
brother, Sonny Sorrell;
and son-in-law, JB Blake-
lllan.
Carolyn's husband, Zane
Edward Collins, passed
away April 13, 1999.
She is survived by two
daughters, Vicki Collins
Blakeman and Missi Col-
lins Fannin and husband
Ty; one sort, Scott Collins
and wife Diana; and grand-
children, Taylor Morgan

He was born April 25,
1955. in Rowan Count3; a

sides his parents, he was
preceded in death by two
brothers, Otis Black in 1990
and Kenneth D. "Kenbo"
Black in 2011, and one sis-
ter, Helen Whitt, in 2008.
Dennis is survived by
three brothers, Pahner
Black of Knox, Indiana, and
Wilbert "Bug" Black and
Gus Bhlck. both of More-
head; three sisters, Vivian
Spurlock of Goshen. Indi-
ana, Joan F'ouch of More-
head, and Bonnie Jones of
Salt Lick; several nieces and
nephews; other family; ,and
friends.
l)ennis was an employee
of Allen's IGA for a number
of years, a landlord, and a
self-enlployed carpenter, Al-
though he enjoyed all types
of music, he especially en-
joyed singing and playing
the guitar wifla his family
gospel group, 'q'he Voice of
t'raise."

Carolyn, a community
leaden was well known for
her vivacious personality,
friendly smile, and help-
ful attitude. She retired
as office manager fi:om
Rowan Water and was a
former employee of GTE
and Occasions Gift Shop.
Carolyn loved her faintly
unconditionally, always at-
tended her children's and
grandchildren's school,
community, and sports
events, and reminded ev-
eryone that her greatest
accomplishment in life was
her famib: A lifelong sup-
porter of Rowan County
and MSU athletics, she
was also a U.K. fail, art avid
reader, and accomplished
seamstress. Carolyn was
an. active member of the
Morehead First Church of
God. She will be h)vingly
remembered and sadly
missed by all who knew
her.
A Celebration of l.ife was
held 1 p.m. Wednesday,
April 30, 2014, at the Mor
head Iqrst Church of God
with Pastor Allan Hutchin-
son officiating. Entomb-
ment followed at Forest
Lawn Mausoleum.
Nate, age
60,of Wellington, went to
be with the I.,ord after a
long battle with cancer on
Friday, April 25,2014, she
was surround by loved
ones at her residence. She
was born in Ashland. KY
on May 7,1953 and grew up
in Wurfland, Ky. She was
a member of file Church
of the Living God in Jef-
fersonville, KY, she was a
homemaker and a loving
mother, who enjoyed cook-
ing, reading, listening to
music and spending time
with family and friends.
She was preceded in
death by her parents, Den-
ver Estill & Susan Rebecca
Wurtz Adkins. and a be-
loved son, Garrett Shall-
non Felty.
She is survived by her
loving husband, David
