I am a life-long resident of KrysCal ddullins hapman name IS lins" Chapman and I am pleased to announce that I am running for Menifee County Clerk. I am an ideal candidate for County Clerk as I have proudly served as a Deputy Clerk in the office for 5 years. Let me begin by saying that I am a proud lifelong resident of Menifee County and was raised on Amos Ridge by my parents, For- rest "Bimbo"(and Cindy) Mullins and Margie Mul- lins. My husband, Derick Chapman, and I make our home in Frenchburg on Tarr Ridge. During my 5 years at the Menifee County Clerk's of- rice, I have gained the ex- perience necessary to over- see the functions of our office such as licensing, titling, and transfers of mo- tor vehicles. I was trained by Karen "Sis" Helton to do tire lien filings and releas- es. I have recorded deeds and mortgages. I have processed franchise bills. I have worked on the budget and quarterly reports used to generate the annual set- flement of the office. I also prepare for our local elec- tions by processing elec- tion paperwork and filing voter cards. I am confident that my extensive knowl- edge of the County Clerk's office would make my tran- sition into the role of Coun- ty Clerk an easy and natu- ral one for the residents of Menifee County. My goal for the office is to keep the same friendly environment residents of our county have come to expect. I will maintain high standards for our office and always strive for excel- lence. Also, I will keep the current business hours of Monday-Wednesday and Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m and Thursday and Satur- day 8:30 a.m.-ll:30 a.m. It has been a pleasure to serve the residents of Me- nifee County. Now I ask for the privilege to serve you as the Menifee County Clerk. Please vote Krystal "Mullins" Chapman in the primary election on May 22, 2018. Thank you for your support. -Krystal "Mullins" Chap- man, Deputy Clerk Hello fellow Menifee Countians! I am Justin Wells, and I am seeking the office of Menifee County Clerk. I have thor- oughly enjoyed making my way around the county and speaking with many of you. If I have not gotten to see you personally, please forgive me and know that it is not because I did not want to speak to you. I have worked very hard to see everyone, and I will continue working until May 22. I firmly believe elected officials are obligated to serve the people who elect them, and I am prepared to embrace the role of public servant. I will work very hard to make sure everyone coming in the office receives the most professional and efficient service possible. I will explore the possibility of expanding the hours the office is open, and also work toward developing improved communications to inform the public of any changes within the office such as closings or other adjustments in the hours of operation. One area that sets me apart as a candidate is that I am also focused on how I might best use the office to impact the community beyond the office hours as well as beyond the doors of the courthouse. First, I want to assume a role in sponsoring events in the county, especially those that involve our youth. Second, there are grant dollars out there, and as a county we need to be about the business of going after them. I have completed a course in grant proposal writing, and I have experience assisting with writing grant proposals. I would be willing to donate a significant amount of my personal time to aid in Menifee County's efforts to seek grant funds as they become available. We would be better served to pursue the grants ourselves whenever possible, and I will work with all offices in the county in our pursuits. We are the ones who call Menifee County home, and no one is more invested in our community than we are. Grants can allow, among other things, new equipment, new technology, and even possible new jobs. Our citizens will benefit, which gives us tremendous motivation to work for all funding sources we can get. We need to go after every opportunity we possibly can, because we will get zero of the dollars we don't pursue. I am honored to be a candidate among a strong field of candidates, and I would be greatly honored to serve as your Menifee County Clerk. I am a proud resident of this great county, and I will remain a proud resident as long as God allows me to live. Please consider me as you go vote on May 22. With your vote and support I will serve Menifee County to the best of my ability, and I pledge to do all I can to make it an even better place to call home. It is a privilege to call you my neighbors, and together we can make a great future for our children! Never forget: We are proud, we are strong, WE ARE MENIFEE!! Paid for by candidate, Justin Wells
