OBITUARIES
LORENA MAE HORNBECK BABER
Lorena Mae Hornbeck Ba-
ber, 91, of Owingsville, Ken-
tucky passed away peaceful-
ly Thursday morning, July
15, 2021 at her home. She
was born on July 12, 1930
in Marion, Indiana, to the
late Gilmore Hornbeck and
Mary Ruth Hornbeck. In
addition to her parents, she
was preceded in death by
her sister, Joy Cox. Lorena
was a dedicated wife, moth-
er and grandmother. She
was a homemaker who en-
joyed cooking, entertaining
company and always loved
to travel. She had a way of
making each person feel
special. Over the years, she
taught many young students
to play piano and played the
organ at church for over 40
years. Survivors include
her husband of 72 years,
John Baber, two sons, J ohn-
ny Baber (Debbie) of Ow-
ingsville and Brad Baber of
Columbia City, Indiana, two
daughters, Tina Bush of Mt.
Sterling, Kentuckyiand Pam
Little (Jim) of Loganville,
Georgia, eleven grandchil-
dren, Jared Baber (Chey-
enne), Brock Baber (Jill),
Evan Carino (Eli), Josh
Little, Suzanne Little, Zach
Baber (Brynn), Tyler Baber,
Caleb Baber (Amanda), Lau-
ren Snider (Jeff), Solomon
Bush (Jennifer) and Aaron
Bush, eight great—grandchil-
dren, Avery Baber, Adelle
Baber, Andi Baber, Bryton
Carino, Brynn Carino, Eli
Baber, Jack Snider and Lily
Snider and many friends
who will dearly miss her.
Funeral services were con-
ducted at 4:00 PM. Sunday,
July 18, 2021 at the Ow-
ingsville United Methodist
Church with Pastors, J ohn-
ny Baber, Lowell Rice and
Tim Ray officiating. Burial
was in the Owingsville Cem-
etery. Visitation was from
2:00 PM. — 4:00 PM. Sunday

ROBERT “.IARROD” BUSH
Robert "Jarrod" Bush, 36,
of Owingsville, Kentucky
formerly of Grayson, Ken-
tucky, passed away Monday,
July ‘12, 2021 from injuries
sustained in an automobile
accident. He was born on
May 19, 1985 in Morehead,
Kentucky, the son of Roy
Bush and Carla Morris.
Jarrod was full of love and
passion. When he wasn't
working as a heavy equip-
ment operator, he enjoyed
fishing and spending time
with his family and his dogs.
In addition to his parents,
survivors include his wife,
Nicki Bush, two daughters,
Riley McCoy of Cowen,
West Virginia and Charly
Bush of Grayson, one son,
Brady Bush of Grayson, his
maternal grandmother, Bar-
EUGENE “GENE” CIAY WILSON
Eugene “Gene” Clay Wil-
son, age 89 of Dayton, passed
away peacefully surrounded
by family on July 19, 2021 at
his residence. Born on July 18,
1932 to the late Alma (Thomp
son) and Thomas Turner Wil-
son in Frenchburg, Kentucky.
Gene worked for more than
36 years as Materials Man-
ager for Lucas-Ledex before
he retired in 1994. He was a
veteran of the Korean Con-
flict, having proudly served
in the US. Marine Corps
and a Purple Heart recipient.
Gene enlisted in the Marines
in 1950 where he was a Ser-
. geant, member of the George
Company of the First Marine
Division, a Squad Leader and
Machine Gunner. He was a
member of the Englewood
United Methodist Church
since 1992. Gene enjoyed
spending time with his chil—
dren and grandchildren. He
also enjoyed traveling with his
wife, Erla. He was also a mem-
ber of the following organiza-
tions: VFW Post 7741, Ameri-
can Legion #668, AMVETS
#99, and he was Treasurer of
the Korean Veterans Memo-
rial Association. He is sur-
vived by his beloved wife of 42
years: Erla L. moss) Wilson,
daughter: Denise Demaray
of. Arizona, daughter-in—law:
Cheryl Wilson of Medway,
step-daughter: Tamara Zavitz
of Michigan, step-son: Thom-
as (Susan) Boyer of North
Carolina, grandchildren: Tif-
fany (Matt), Jesse (Molly),
Latisha (Chris), Bethany, Cas-
sidy, Caitlin, Colton, Taylor,
Alicia, Angela (Cecil), Koa
(Joe), great-grandchildren:
Matthew, Zoe, Mia, Austin,
Dani, Kayla, Marcus, and
great—great—grandchildren:
Leland, Landon, Bowen,
along with numerous family
members and friends. Along
with his parents, Gene was
preceded in death by his son:
Michael Wilson, step-son:
Timothy Boyer, and sister:
Evelyn (Kenneth) Peyton.

CLYDE DOWNEY
Clyde Downey, 83, of Mt.
Sterling, Kentucky, passed
away Tuesday, July 13,
2021 at the Ridgeway Nurs-
ing and Rehabilitation in
Owingsville, Kentucky. He
was born on September 30,
1937 in Bath County, to the
late Roy Downey and Eth-
el Sorrell Downey. Clyde
was known to be a simple
man who enjoyed hunting,
fishing and working on
the farm. He retired from
Bundy Tubing Company
in Winchester, Kentucky
and then went on to retire
from Pintair in Mt. Sterling.
In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death
by four brothers, Richard
Downey, Virgil Downey,
Taylor Downey and John
Downey. Survivors include
his wife, Lola Craycraft
Downey, two sons, Doug
Downey (Becky) of Knox—
ville, Tennessee and Larry
Downey of Mt. Sterling,
five grandchildren, Rich-
ard Downey (Jessica),
Nathan Downey (Grace),
Jacquie Downey, Jessica
Blevins and Casey Highley,
two great-grandchildren,
Jayda Puckett and For-
rest Downey, five sisters;
Gracie Rogers, Alice Nor-

MARY MARGARET COYLE MANLEY
Mary Margaret Coyle Man—
tucky passed away Saturday,
July 17, 2021 at the Ridgeway
Nursing and Rehabilitation
Center in Owingsville after
a brief illness. She was born
in Bath County, Kentucky on
November 3, 1927 to the late
Willie and Anna Stone Coyle.
She was married in 1945 to
James Calvin Manley and
he preceded her in death on
January 13, 1983. In addition
to her parents and husband
she was preceded in death by
three brothers: Henry Coyle,
Avery Coyle and Raymond
Coyle and one sister, Lucille
Williams. Mary Margaret was
a member of the Owingsville
United Methodist Church
and was retired from the Bath
County Health Department,
where she had worked as a
Community Health Worker.
Survivors include ,her chil-
dren: Danny Manley, David
(Charlotte) Manley, Marsha
(Bill) Patrick all of Owings-
ville, DianeManley and Mary
ton, Kentucky and Jeanette
George of Laurens, South
Carolina, one sister, Edna
