We do have "an amazing body" and that realization should drive each of us to praise God as David did for only God could "form our inward parts" to work with such precision. The evening began with dinner, followed by a speech by Congressman Andy Barr, who spoke to the crowd about the cur- rent state of America. "America is a great country, but right now we have some prob- lems," he began. "What we need to do is work together and hold the politicians in Washington D.C. responsible and get Americans back to work. It's up to all of us to make our communities a better place for our children." Barr, a Republican, is a major opponent of the Af- fordable Care Act, com- monly known as Obam- aCare, and cited it as a plan that "hurts America more than it helps." In regards to this, one member of the audience questioned Barr about Edith Richardson was her how ObamaCare helps those suffering from pre- existing conditions and suffering from addic- tion." 'q'here are currently 40 million Americans who are suffering from a chronic illness or a pre- existing condition, which prevents them from at- taining health care or health insurance," said Barr. When I was a little fellow, I caught some "lightning bugs" and sealed them in a jar. It was fun watch- hag their tiny bright lights glow in the dark next to my bed. I woke up early the next morning to see their lights but the glow was gone. The lightning bugs had died. It is like that with human beings. Some think that happiness and pleasure are synonymous. But it is not a commodity that can be bought. It is a condition. Others think that hap- piness and plenty are syn- onymous. But happiness is not derived from posses- sions, nor is it destroyed by poverty. Remember the story of the king who asked for the shirt of the happiest man in his kingdom? They found the man - but he did not have a shirt. Happiness is not what happens to us, but what happens in us. It is the by-product of a life that is adjusted to the will of God and regulated by the Word of God. Seek God through Chris and let'Him have His way, and you will be happy.
