She was born May 18, 1952 to Florene Smith Earlywine. She member of With a Heart Church, Korea Church of God and Dayspring Assembly Church. retired from Project Worth Foodbank and served as a tutor for people applying for GED. is survived one son, Rick Clifford (Shannon) of Jeffersonville, KY; two daughters, Melissa Wells (Jesse) of Frenchburg, KY and Dana Dearmon (Lon— nie Riddle) of Frenchburg, KY; one brother, Mickey (Barb) of Denniston, KY; one sister, Sue Rupard (Robert) of Winchester, KY; and four grandchil- dren, Chris Dearmon, Cody Wells, Caleb Dear- mon and Brent Wells. was preceded in death by herlhusband, James Taylor Clifford; and one son-in- law, Doug Dearmon. Fu- neral service will be held PM, Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel Frenchburg with Rev. David Hale and Pastor Rodney Coffey of- ficiating, burial following at Back Cemetery. ALICE FAYE BROWN Mrs. Alice Faye Brown, 75, of Salt Lick, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 in the St. Joseph-Mt. Sterling Hospital after an extended illness. She was born Au- gust 1, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late George and Lucille Kimble Fridley. Alice attended the Mud Lick Church of God and en— joyed cooking, word search puzzles and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Survi- vors include her husband, Everett Brown, two sons, Kenneth (Hiede) Brown and Daniel Brown all of Salt Lick, one daughter, Debra Brown of Mt. Sterling, Ken- tucky, one brother, George (Barbara) Fridley of Lake- wood, Ohio, one sister, Ada Bling of Ohio, nineteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Also several other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 7:00 PM. Monday, September 13, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Owingsville with Rev. Mark Caldwell offici- ating. Private burial will in the Old Virginia Cem- etery. Visitation was after 6:00 PM. Monday at the funeral home. Born September 9, 1943, in Peebles, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late John Isaac Hamilton and Mary Elizabeth Bennett Dona- than. In addition to her par- ents, she was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.Charlene is sur- vived by her husband of 58 years, Willie E. Black, whom she wed June 29, 1963; two children, Elizabeth Darlene Black Buckner and Randy of Owingsville and Wm. David Black and John of Suffolk, Virginia; two grand— daughters, Natalie M. Black- Huff (Ryan) of Panama City Beach, Florida, and Felicia P Buckner Richards (Tyler) of Owingsville; one grand- son, Nick Price (Vickie) of Spring Branch, Texas; and 10 great grandchildren, Oly- vea, Emmett and Maddox Huff; Emmalyn, Harper and Briley Richards; Aryana, Nykolas, Vincent and Oliver Price. Charlene was a retired accountant for the Civil Service. A devoted military wife and mom, she loved all her family but especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and canning, cooking for anyone and everyone, and sharing her delicious jam cake with friends and family alike. She also enjoyed traveling, camping and for a number of years bowling. She was an avid Bingo player, a life- time member of the Simon Kenton VFW Auxiliary Post 2734, and attended East Fork Church of God. She was greatly loved and will greatly missed. Funeral services will be held 2 pm. Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at East Fork Church of God with Brother Billy Harmon of- ficiating. Burial will follow in Longview Cemetery in Bethe].
