I read a survey by
Good Housekeeping a
few years ago that asked
80,000 people what they
wanted in a religious or-
ganizatiom One of the
things that came up very
often was, "I want to be
intellectually, stimulated".
Frankly I cannot think of
anything more intellectu-
ally stimulating than the
Bible. Today men discuss
important ideas from a
one sided point of view
and they come up with the
same old dumb answers.
Take for example the ideal
of evolutio Professors
repeat professors of old
and make =minor adjust-
ments" and brag on their
intellectual ability. But
when we include the Bible
in the discussion intellec-
tual stimulation will take
place.
We could take the con-
cept of God. In fact many
want to deny the existence
of God without ever read-
ing the Ble. But who
can read the Ble without
being challenged by the
thought of such a mag-
nificent being as Jehovah?
Just to think about an eter-
nal, all powerful, totally
righteous and true God is
mmd00.
And when we discuss
the Ble we must discuss
those things that are im-
portant to our everyday
life. What is right and what
is wrong? How should we
treat one another whlTle on
this earth? What is the an-
swer to the race problem?
Is truth absolute or is ev-
erything relative? What is
marriage and how is the
famRy to function in the
world? What is the proper
