Two arrested in Owingsville after allegedly
using drugs on resi'dent's back porcn

A man and a woman
were arrested Saturday af-
ternoon at a residence on
Slate Avenue in Owings-
ville following a complaint
of drug use.
According to the arrest
citation of Owingsville Po-
lice Officer Bud Lyons,
he received a complaint
around 2:45 p.m. Saturday
afternoon that two indi-
viduals were using drugs
at a residence on the back
porch of a home on Slate
Avenue.
Upon arrive at the scene,
Lyons said in the citation
that a woman and a man,
identified as Haley M. Lit-
fie, 24, of Owingsville, and
Kyle Hurst, 28, of Olympia,
were surprised and that

Little attempted to throw
something away.
Officer Lyons said he
discovered a crack pipe and
a plastic bag containing an
"orange-colored drug" as
well as pop cans apparently
used to heat up the drug.
He also noted that both
Kyle Hurst
Little and Hurst appeared
to be under the influence,
"unsteady on their feet and
nervous shaking uncon-
trollably."
The homeowner told Ly-
ons that he had previously
asked Hurst to leave after
he had found him on the
back porch once before.
Both Little and Hurst
were arrested and charged
with public intoxication/
controlled substance, pos-
session of a controlled sub-
stance, and possession of
drug paraphernalia. They
were lodged in the Mont-
gomery County Regional
Jail.
Hurst was arraigned on
Oct. 28 in Bath District
Court and pled not guilty.
A pretrial conference is
scheduled for him on No-
vember 4.
Little was released
from jail on $1000 surety
bond on Oct. 28, and she
is scheduled to appear in
Bath District Court on Nov.
4.
All individuals are con-
sidered innocent until
proven guilty or pleading
guilty in court.
