OwJngsville Police Office Bud Lyons, along with Ow-
fngsville K-9 Searcy, took home second place in the
Bluegrass K-9 Narcotics Trials held Oct. 31 - Nov. 3
in Mt. Sterling. During the event, Searcy picked up
~ational certifications with the National Narcotics Drug
Dog Association and with the National Association of
Police Canine Handlers. She took her second place
from a field of over 30 other K-9 teams from the fed-
i~ral, state, and local law enforcement. Officer Lyons
said that Searcy has .already assisted with two local
drug searches since she went on duty in September.
~"She's going to be good for the city," Lyons said.

was at the Bath County Courthouse Annex last Thurs-
day afternoon to announce that Kelly Wilson would be
his new field representative in Bath County. Wilson is
• currently Community Education Director with the Bath
County School District as well as President of the Ow-
ingsville/Bath County Chamber of Commerce. "It is an
honor," Wilson said. =Thank you. I will do the best that
I can." Sen. Robinson said that, all of his constituents
have access to him twenty-four hours a day, but "while
I am far away, Kelly is right here."
