News Outlook Your Hometown Newspaper December 01, 2016- 3 ERNEST BREWER EUNICE WELLS BREWER LAVERNE lAWSON FULTZ Ernest Brewer, 99, of Betty Gap Ridge, Dennis- : ton, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Edgewood Es- tates in Frenchburg. He was born in Scranton, Ken- tucky on October 7, 1917 the son of the late Harley and Paret Tincher Brewer. - He was a US Navy veteran having served aboard the USS Card Aircraft Carrier in World War II. He was a member of the Pome. royton Union Church, the : Masonic Lodge and was the widower of Berdena Adams Brewer. He is survived by three sons, Denzel Brewer and Kellie Brewer both Of Den- niston, KY and Delmus (Deanna) Brewer of Mi- amisburg, OH; one sister, Etta Back of Denniston, KY; seven grandchildren, Jay Brewer, Kim Smith, Barry Brewer, Joy Kramer, Suzanne Barber, Diane Brewer and Debra Barrett. Thirteen great grandchil- dren, fifteen great=great grandchildren also survive along with several nieces and nephews. In addtion to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter:m- law, Wanda Brewer; three sisters, Melva Back, Mar- gie Welch and Edith Hunt; and one brother, Cordell Brewer. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the Taul Funer- al Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Wells officiating and. burial following in the Bashford Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jesse Back, Mark Back, Simon Back, Lester Back, Don Welch and Jim Welch Honorary pallbear- ers are Larry Back, Ron Welch, Mike Welch Clin- ton Brewer, Virgil Miller and Dave Yocum Friends may visit Sun- day from 11 am - 1 pm at the. Taul Funeral Home in Fx;enchburg. Military rites will be performed by American Legion Post # 22. JANICE TOY HAGGARTY Janice Toy Haggarty, 78, died at her home in Tampa, FL. November 24, 2016. Graveside only ser- vices will be held Satur- day, December 10, 2016 at ll:00am, at Evergreen Me- docino, C&, two grandchil- dren, Katlin Kannady and Tyler Adkins of Indepen- dence, KY., and a great- grandchild, Jordan Adkins. Janice's first husband, Morgan, graduated from Owingsville High in the morial Gardens, US HWY mid-fifties. Janice operated , 27/68 between Lexington a Beauty Salon in Owings- and Paris, Ky. near the Bourbon/Fayette County line. She is preceded in Eunice Wells Brewer, age 85, of Kettering, Ohio passed away Friday in the Suites of Walnut Creek, Ketter'mg, OH after an extended illness. She was born June 21, 1931 . at Wellington, Ix'Y, daugh- ter of the late Bruce and Mariba Denniston Wells. Eunice was a wonderful homemaker, a volunteer at Sycamore Hospital for several years and an avid gardener. She loved tak- ing care of her grandchil- dren and attending their many functions. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Emil 'Chink' Brewer. Surviving are her hus- band, Charles Hale, and daughter, Susan Martin both of Frenchburg, KY.
