Q?
B-19
Who could forget last February's
ice storm that left more than
100,000 central Kentucky resi-
dents without power? While here
at Clark Energy we can cross our
fingers that we'll never feel the
effects of such a storm this winter,
we know that in the event of
severe weather, our preparation
will restore lostower as quieldy
as possible. ...............
Should severe weather strike our
community, Clark Energy's staff
will work around the clock to
make sure everyone's power is
restored as quickly as possible.
We, along with other co-ops, are
dedicated to sharing linemen,
trucks, equipment and time in the
event of a major outage. Together,
we can get your power back on in
a timely manner.
Preventing major power outages
involves planning and year-round
preparation. That's why Clark
Energy's staff participates in train-
ing exercises and implements an
effective fight-of-way mainte-
nance program to keep lines clear
of potentially damaging limbs and
branches.
When we see a problem, we
eliminate it. Primary right-of-
ways are cleared on a cycle with
herbicides, trimming and mow-
ing.
Should our area be affected by
severe weather, you can be pre-
pared as well.
Make sure you have a back-up
telephone that doesn't rely on elec-
tricity. Keep emergency phofie
ammbe, including numbers .for
Gtark ,,Energy, :'emerge
response agencies, and police and
fire departments. Also, keep a bat-
te-operated radio and flashlights
on hand with extra batteries.
Here at Clark Energy, we know
we can't control the weather, but
we can be prepared for whatever
Mother Nature throws at us. Our
