:i The Bath County News-Outlook o: December 11 2003 a 00,muni News, The float sponsored by Walker Construction and Greenscapes, had the three wise men, ngels and lots of Christmas trees and groups gathering around for a holly, jolly Christmas in aturday's annual Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade. The parade is sponsored by the :t)wingsville/Bath County Chamber of Commerce and traditionally kicks off the season the first eek of December in Owingsville. (News-Outlook photo, Ken Metz) It has become a tradition for many years for the Morehead Shriners to partic- ipate in the annual C of C Christmas Parade in Owingsville. Since a number of Shriners are from Bath County, the group has become a more regular part of the event with their ultra- short bugs and extra-long limos as well. The members bring a light-hearted style to the parade with their uncon- ventional machines, (News- Outlook photo, Ken Metz) Greg Lykins, narrated a very touching Christmas story at Sunday's Owingsville Club sponsored event entitled "A Bath County Christmas." Providing background to the story on guitar, was Jacob Hawkins. County 2003, Jodi Triplett, took part in Saturday's arade through Owingsville. It as become traditional for the eigning May Day queen to ride the annual parade and to ake presentations to pxhibitors at the annual wingsville Lions Club Horse how on July 1-4.
