Of those citations, 44 were for DUI, 277 were for Speeding, 236 for No Seat Belt, and 32 for Child Restraint. In ad- dition, therewere 2,024 Vehicle Inspections and 407 Courtesy Notices issued. Post 8 also in- vestigated 65 Traffic Collisions, including one which was a fatality collision that occurred in Morgan County. Post 8 personnel also investigated 1,151 Complaints. A total of 85 Criminal Cases were opened and 377 Crimi- nal Arrests were made for the month of March 2013. Additionally, 'Captain Brian Bowling, Com- mander of the Ken- tucky State Police at Morehead, announces that Troopers of the Morehead Post will be conducting Safety Checkpoints in addi- tion to Moving Patrols throughout the Post 8 area during the entire month of April as Well as the remainder of the year 2013. Motorists are urged to be can- tious and obey reduced speeds through road construction zones. This concentrated enforcement effort will utilize Troopers and Detectives assigned to and working the More- head post area. Mem- bers of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE) will also be uti- lized. They will focus on enforcing violations of Speeding, No Seat Belt, Child Restraint, Impaired Driving Laws, and Texting While Driv- ing, as well as other violations of the Traffic Laws of Kentucky. SU Huber Brooke Razor, a 2009 graduate of Harrison County High School and a senior Psychol- ogy Major/Philosophy Bath County junior guard Keegan Sammons has been honored for his performance in the 2012- 13 season. Sammons, who helped to lead Bath County throughout the 2012-13 season, has been named an All-Area Hon- orable Mention selection by the Ashland Daily In- dependent. Russell standout Kyle Skaggs was named the ADPs All-Area Player of the Year. Russell head coach Merle Kidwell was named the ADPs Coach of the Year. Fleming County cap- tured the 16th Region championship. The complete All-Area basketball team follows. Razor left for London at the end of December after being selected for the internship. Razor is assigned to the head of the Scot- fish National Party and has been assigned to research and corre- spondence duties. She has been able to visit the floor of Par- liament during votes,. write questions for the leader of the party for constituency discus- sion and floor debate, and network with a va- riety of leaders. Razor will return to the University of Ken- tucky in late April, where she will gradu- ate on May 5. She is the daugh- ter of Bow and Lynne Switzer of Cynthiana, and the granddaugh- ter of Chick and Judy Huber and Donnie and Barbara Razor of Ow- ingsville.
